Offered for sale as a registered Katahdin ewe $275
Classic white ewe. Good growth and modest milk and survival, and low on prolificacy, this girl tends towards singles, which is the main reason I’m dropping her. This pedigree captures Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri), Carl Ginapp’s genetics (Iowa, now retired), Lynn Fahrmeier (Missouri), Dosch Katahdins ( South Dakota, now retired) and Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko Moses Lake, now retired). She is a good mama, but her twins had disparate growth this year and I early-weaned one, so she may have a damaged udder and will need to be monitored if raising twins again. This she is priced as a pet. Lambing record starting as a yearling: 1/1, 1/1, 1/1, 2/0, 2/2
Photo taken May 2023. EBVs from 2022 lamb crop EPWWT data. This ewe is NSIP genotyped. She has a white ram lamb at side that could go with her for an extra fee, or she can go solo in July when her lamb is weaned.
