Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ram $500
Very dark mahogany ram with white flecks on his face, chest and sides, and lots of color in this pedigree. Strong growth, very high milk and survival, and moderate prolificacy scores. He is a good candidate for a terminal sire, or for those who prefer replacement ewes that tend way away from triplets, but still have strong milk and survival genes. Pedigree is a blend of local genetics, plus Birch Cove (David Coplen, Missouri), KRK (Oregon), and Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired). This ram looks a little small compared to the other lambs, and he is, but it’s because he was born late, and is 4-6 weeks younger than the rest. He is the highest indexing ram lamb born here this year, though, so is definitely a keeper!
