Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ram lamb $400
Nicely put together white ram. Sired by a framey, dark chocolate ram from Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri). Dam traces to Thistle Grove Farm (Dr. John Bare, DVM, Iowa) and a ewe from Birch Cove. Modest prolificacy, positive milk and good growth scores. This ram will make a good terminal sire or to produce replacement ewes that avoid a lot of triplets.
Photo from July 2021. EBVs from 2021 WWT data. This ram is register-able. He is weaned now due to his dam dying from a fencing accident when he was 90 days old,. He should be creep fed with grain or alfalfa for another month or so to replace what he would have gotten from another month of nursing, and keep his growth and parasite resistance strong.
