Offered for sale as a purebred, register-able Katahdin yearling ewe, $325
Classic white ewelamb with one very dark brown front leg and a lot of black spots. Modest on growth and lower on prolificacy, but incredible milk score (top 1%). She also has pretty good parasite resistant scores, and their accuracy is higher because Caleb measures. Pedigree traces back to Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri), a USDA ram from the Booneville Research Station we were able to borrow in the PNW in 2019, and Good Shepherd Farm (Caleb Pirc, Idaho) plus a little from Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired) and my own genetics.
Photo taken May 2023. EBVs from 2023 lamb crop WWT data. She is NSIP genotyped. This ewe did not lamb as a yearling and is ready to go to a new home today and breed this fall!
