Offered for sale as a purebred, register-able Katahdin ram lamb, $450

Dark mahogany ram with broken blaze and white bib and body spots. He has solid growth EBVs, especially high on prolificacy  and milk.  A mix of local, Birch Cove (David Coplen, Missouri), Thistle Grove Farm (John Bare, DVM Iowa) and Misty Oaks Farm (Kathy Bielek, OH) genetics.

This guy’s mama is older and has a damaged udder from past mastitis, so he was an orphan rear candidate. He loves to pig out so was thrilled to move indoors and tank up off the teat bucket. Note he’s been reared on a teat bucket, not hand-fed/bottle raised, and is not tame, so there is no risk of him becoming an obnoxious adult. He is ready to wean and go to a new home today, but should stay on creep feed at least until July before being turned out on grass alone, to allow his rumen to fully develop. Photo taken April 2023. EBVs from BWT data.
