Offered for sale as a recordable Katahdin ewelamb $275

Chunky white ewe with black spotting. She was the result of an accidental breeding last August while I still had all the unweaned ram lambs with the dams. DNA testing was not able to deduce her sire, so she can be recorded as a 50%. Despite this blank spot in her pedigree, her EBVs are still very strong, based on her own growth,  her dam’s data and her DNA/genomics. Dam’s MWWT is 2.14 and my whole flock has a high average, so any ram who sired her would likely also pass on good milk genetics (scores are zeroed out for MWWT when there is not yet enough data). Dam traces back to  Birch Cove (David Coplen, Missouri) and the rest is local genetics.

EBVs from the 2024 lamb crop WWT data. Photo taken May 2024. She is weaned and ready to go to a new home today. Because she’s older and more substantial, she is much more likely to breed this fall than April born ewelambs.
