Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ewelamb $300, exposed
Very pretty, classic white ewe. Good growth and milk scores, positive on survival and more modest on prolificacy, this girl probably won’t have a lot of triplets. Total Birch Cove (David Coplen, Missouri) breeding, that traces to some of the best NSIP lines in the nation; she is one of the few ewelambs I’m selling out of my two new rams from Missouri. I’m keeping her sibling and my policy is I normally don’t retain both twins, so this one is an opportunity to get a total out-of-state pedigree and some really good NSIP genetics.
Photo taken Aug 2020. EBVs from 2020 lamb crop WWT data. This ewe has been exposed to a ram starting 11/8. Rams are wearing marking harnesses, so I will know her breed date. Note that for me, ewelambs have about a 50/50 chance of conceiving in their yearling year, so no guarantees; but plan on feeding her well in case she is bred.
