Offered for sale as a commercial Katahdin ewe with ram lamb at side $520
Pretty white yearling ewe. Solid EBVs across the board. Sire traces back to USDA ram from Booneville AR, Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired), Thistle Grove Farm (John Bare, DVM, Iowa) and Birch Cove (David Coplen, MO). Caveat: this ewe had entropion (inverted eyelids) as a lamb, which is lowly heritable, so I’m selling her unregistered as a commercial ewe and discounted. When these crop up, they are easily fixed with a penicillin injection below the eyelid, but it’s an inconvenience to deal with this, so we try to breed away from it. She will make a fine productive ewe on a small farm, and bred to a diverse sire, this issue may never recur in her lambs.
She has a white ram lamb at side and they can go together for this price before the end of June, after that the price will go up.
