Offered for sale as a register-able Katahdin ewelamb $300
Really striking dark mahogany ewelamb. Sire came all the way from North Carolina State University, and traces back to Hound River Farm (Roxanne Newton, GA), Lee Wright’s flock in Virginia, as well as USDA stock. Dam’s side traces back to Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, now retired) plus KRK genetics (background of WAI). Growth and milk are positive, prolificacy is good, and parasite resistance is on the poor side. She will do best in a small well managed flock that either feeds well or stays on top of parasite management.
