Offered for sale as a registered  Katahdin ewe $350

Framey chocolate colored ewe. Strong EBVs across the board. Pedigree is a mix of my genetics, Misty River (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired), and Birch Cove (David Coplen, MO). Her productivity record starting as a yearling: 1/1, 2/2, 1/1, 2/2, 2/2. She is a B-coat (incomplete shedder that tends to keep a backline of wool, but sheds enough to quality for full registration).

EBVs from 2025 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken May 2025. Her lambs are weaned and she’s ready to go to a new home today.

EBVs from 2025 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken May 2025. She has twin white ram lambs at side (pictured), and can go at this price as growers (intact but not registered) as a set before 7/31. After which her lambs will be weaned and she can be sold standalone.

Offered for sale as a registered Katahdin ewe $825 w/ 2 ewelambs at side

Classic white ewe. Positive EBVs across the board. Sire traces back to KRK genetics as well as Birch Cove (David Coplen, MO). Dam is from Misty River (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired). You don’t see PAS 28L in pedigrees much anymore, he’s from the early days of Katahdins in WA state, so this is a pedigree with animals with longevity. Her productivity record starting as a yearling: 1/1, 2/2, 2/1, 2/2, 3/3, 2/1, 2/2. She is eight years old but in great shape; Katahdin ewes can lamb well into their teens if they are in a well managed system.

EBVs from 2025 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken May 2025. She has twin white ewelambs at side, and can go at this price as a set before 7/31 (they are recordable and purebred, but I’m not certain of their sire). After which her lambs will be weaned and she can be sold standalone.

Offered for sale as a registered Katahdin ewe (pet/cull price) $275

Pretty fleabitten red spotted ewe with a clean shedding coat. Moderate positive EBVs. She’s had subclinical mastitis in the past and can really only raise one lamb, but tends to have multiples, so I’m selling her at pet price. Genetics trace back to Aspen Mt Farm (Aileen Scott, MT), Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired) and Birch Cove (David Coplen, MO) and a lot of my own/ local genetics. She could be bred again and is a great mother (and tends to adopt lambs that are not hers), but be prepared to bottle feed. She has out of season breeding genetics, bred on 4th of July in 2024 to lamb in late November. Lambing record starting as a 2-year-old: 2/2, 2/1, 2/2, 3/2.

EBVs from 2025 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken March 2025. Her lambs are weaned and she is ready to go to a new home today.

Offered for sale as a register-able Katahdin ewelamb $350

White ewelamb with red dots. Positive EBVs across the board. These will change once her sire DNA flows through the system, as she was originally entered into NSIP with UNKSRE. Sire traveled all the way from New York and incorporates venerated NSIP flocks Hound River Farm (Roxanne Newton, GA) and Lee Wright (VA). Dam pulls in genetics from the USDA Research Station in Booneville, AR and Thistle Grove Farm (John Bare, DVM, Iowa). Great opportunity to bring in out of state genetics!

KMC 25001

Offered for sale as a record-able Katahdin ewelamb $300

Chonky red roan ewelamb. She was a product of an early accidental breeding, so currently her sire is unknown and she could be recorded as a 50% Katahdin (but all sires here are purebred, so she is 100% Katahdin). It’s possible her sire will turn up in DNA submission, but I may not know the answer for a while, as DNA turnaround is really slow. Her EBVs are lower than they should be since they are an average of her dam’s data averaged with zero since no sire. Her dam has a little Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired), KRK (Karen Kenagy, OR) and Aspen Mountain Katahdins (Aileen Scott, MT).

EBVs from 2024 lamb crop EPWWT data. Photo taken December 2024. She is weaned and ready to go to a new home today and should reliably breed this fall since she is older/ bigger.
