Offered for sale as a register-able Katahdin ewelamb $300

Cute white ewelamb. Dam hearkens to local genetics plus the USDA Research Station in Booneville, AR. Sire is from North Carolina State University and captures genetics from Roxanne Newton (GA), Lee Wright (VA) and the USDA Research Station. A very diverse pedigree from around the US. This girl has more modest EBVs for growth, parasite resistance, and milk, but her prolificacy is strong.

EBVs from 2026 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken April 2026. This lamb’s dam doesn’t seem to have enough milk for two, probably due to past mastitis, and this lamb was happy to befriend the teat bucket and become an orphan-rear.  $250 if purchased while still needing milk, before 6/20; or $300 thereafter. She will need to be on creep feed through mid August after which she can be weaned onto pasture alone.

Offered for sale as a register-able Katahdin ewelamb $300

Classic white ewelamb. Dam hearkens to local genetics plus a USDA ram from the Booneville Research Station, precious genetics now since that flock may be divested. Sire was procured from the USDA Sheep Research Station in Dubois, ID; a very austere range environment where survival is a real achievement. This ram was one of the top weight performers of his peer group.

EBVs from 2026 lamb crop BWT data. Photo taken May 2026. Her dam had triplets and has had past mastitis and could not raise three, so I am orphan-rearing this one. She can be weaned from milk any time, but will still need to be on creep feed through mid August.

Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ewe with ewelamb at side $550

This is a good 8 YO mama who still has quite a few productive years left. Her mother is from the now-retired Misty River line, and her paternal grandmother is from Birch Cove Farm in Missouri, other trace back to KRK/local genetics. Note she is a quidder in summer (cud spills) but this does not seem to affect her condition or productivity and it goes away in winter when she’s on hay.  She has positive growth, milk and prolificacy scores, and is in my top tier for parasite resistance. But her overall scores and index are a little low, which is why she’s finally dropping out of my system as an older gal; so she is discounted. If she doesn’t sell I’ll breed her again this fall, as she is still productive. Lambing record starting as a yearling: 1/2, 1/1, 2/2, 1/1, 3/2, 1/1

Photo taken May 2026 enjoying a good scratch from a tree.  EBVs from 2026 crop birth data. This ewe can go with her white ewelamb at side before end of June for $550. Price will go up after that and/or when her lamb is weaned. Her lamb is sired by KRK 25346.
