Offered for sale as a register-able Katahdin ram lamb $500

Super flashy red and white pinto ram. Sire is a special procurement off of the USDA Sheep Research Station range in Dubois, ID- sheep that survive on thousands of acres with wolf predation are tough! He was one of the biggest gainers with the highest EBV parents in their 2024 lamb crop. Maternal grandsire is from Gibraltar Farm (Etienne and Isabelle Richards) in New York, so traveled a long way here. Some diverse genetics mixed in with local. Really strong EBVs across the board, this is one of the top rams of this year’s crop.

This standard-framed, mature red-spotted ram has 108 progeny in the system over four years, so his maternal traits are starting to fix in the system with female progeny performance. Where he shines is in parasite resistance, maternal milk and growth. He is a little low on NLB, for those folks who don’t prefer so many triplets and quads. This is a complete out of state pedigree, tracing back to many of the NSIP greats- Birch Cove, Fahrmeier, Newton, and Ginapp. Let this guy bring some long-term benefit to your flock in parasite resistance and immune function, as well as strong growth and milk. He will make a difference in your replacement ewes!
