Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin yearling ewe, $200
Cute little fawn bald-faced ewe. This little girl was getting behind on growth, I don’t think her mother had a very good milk supply. So I weaned this girl early at 60 days so she could be in the barn and have access to hotter feed. She has positive but modest EBVs, so will be a very standard producing ewe, and likely won’t breed this fall because she is so tiny right now. She needs a year to grow up, and she’ll either make a nice pet or a reliable breeder starting at age two. She is very sweet and calm.
Photo taken June 2020. EBVs from 2020 lamb crop WWT data. This ewe is weaned and ready to go to a new home today. She needs to be on a high protein feed (creep and/or alfalfa hay) for at least a few months to let her catch up on growing. $200 if she goes before the end of July, she is discounted because you’ll have to feed her more than a bigger ewelamb that’s weaned onto grass in August!
