Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ram lamb $375
Flashy chocolate and white pinto, baldfaced ram. Sired by a framey, dark chocolate ram from Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri). Dam traces to Thistle Grove Farm (Dr. John Bare, DVM, Iowa) and Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired). Modest prolificacy, positive growth, and good milk scores. He doesn’t have stellar EBVs, but I know some homesteaders just want a cool looking ram, if so, this is your guy!
Photo from July 2021. EBVs from 2021 lamb crop EPWWT data and includes the new Genomics run calculations (though this ram isn’t genotyped himself). NSIP is currently not reporting the USA HAIR index, until it can be updated with the new Genomics calculations. This ram is register-able and ready to go to a new home and start breeding today.
