Offered for sale as a purebred, registered Katahdin ewe, $325
Sturdy black-faced ewe. Balanced but modest EBVs except she comes from a high prolificacy dam line. Pedigree is a blend of Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri), Lyn Fahrmeier (Missouri), Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired), and KRK (Karen Kenagy, Oregon). Lambing record starting as a yearling: 2/1, 2/0, 2/2. She had some bad luck, lost one twin to clostridium in 2022 (no fault of hers), and had a twin pregnancy in 2023, one fetus perished early and the other lamb was big and died of dystocia during a night birth. This year she’s doing great with a set of twins.
