Offered for sale as a purebred, register-able Katahdin ram lamb, $425
Flashy mahogany and white ram with a big blaze, four white socks and white tail. He’s got good growth, survival and milk scores, more modest on prolificacy for those who like to steer clear of a lot of multi births in their replacement ewes. A mix of Birch Cove (David Coplen, Missouri), Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired) and my own flock genetics.
This guy’s dam didn’t have a great milk supply this year, so I have them in the barn and he’s eating creep and alfalfa and could go to a new home any time. He should stay on creep feed at least until July before being turned out on grass alone, to allow his rumen to fully develop. Photo taken May 2023. EBVs from WWT data.
