White ram lamb with really strong growth and  milk scores,  solid twinning genetics, and good survival. This guy will make a great all-around sire.

This is a beautiful brow freckled yearling with big capacity,  that has maintained really good weight while growing a huge ram lamb. True to her EBVs, she has thrown a good grower that was well-fed with great milk.  She meets the criteria for the NSIP Certified Maternal designation, due to being in the top 50% for the index, and top 30% for NLB and MWWT. Her sire is from Iowa, dam is one of Mary Bakko’s (Misty River Farm) last ewes, and one of her highest scoring ones, sold off when she retired in 2016.

This is a beautiful mahogany pinto ewe with very balanced EBVS- good growth and positive milk, with moderate prolificacy and survival. This girl is likely to have twins most of her life.

Behold this ewe- she is a gorgeous physical specimen! She is quite large-framed, a good shedder and has really strong growth EBVs, good survival and milk, and moderate prolificacy. I have kept her twin sister, so am parting with this exceptional-looking ewe only because I can’t keep too many of the same thing. She is a blend of two different ewes from David Copen’s Birch Cove Farm in Missouri. I’ve had fantastic luck with his genetics, he has a very mature breeding program on grass with low inputs, and his stock is hardy and productive! There are quite a few red sheep (and a badger!) in this pedigree, so she will throw color some of the time.

This a moderate-framed, red ewe with white hind socks and tail.  Positive growth numbers, prolificacy is not too high, so she’ll likely mostly twin, milk is slightly negative. She is a good mother and good shedder.

A pretty, moderate-framed chocolate ewe with a brockle face and spotted legs. She has really strong growth and milk EBVs, but a little less on prolificacy, so may help steer clear of triplets for those who don’t like them.

Offered for sale as a registered  four  year old ewe, $375 – exposed to a ram starting 11/3/18

A very flashy-marked, mellow, well-fleshed ewe. She is a very clean shedder with a beautiful short hair coat jacket. This ewe broke her front leg in the Sydell system in November 2017, but we were able to splint it and it has healed nicely. She favored it a bit when she was heavy in late pregnancy, but she is walking confidently on it now that she’s had her lambs, and she is back grazing on pasture.  I am offering her at a discount because she needs a bit of extra monitoring and may have trouble with that leg when she is old. She is lower in prolificacy, but will likely twin for several more years now that she’s in her most productive years.

Offered for sale as a registered five year old ewe, $375, exposed to a ram staring 11/3/18

This is a very standard white Katahdin ewe with great maternal instincts and a really calm temperament. She comes from a dam that had 30 lambs in her lifetime of 13 years, but didn’t get credit for them all in her NSIP EBVs because she joined the program mid-life. The sire was a big, framey East-coast style Katahdin out of White Post genetics, which are no longer around. She’s dropping out of my program because she’s got modest EBVs and I’m always striving for more growth and milk. But she’ll make a good mama in a beginner’s flock, where she’s bound to do a good job and let her owner learn about sheep!

A flashy pinto marked ram with panda face markings. Early shedder and really nice conformation. He has balanced and moderate EBVs, he’ll throw good-growing lambs and will have daughters that tend more towards single-twins than twin-triplets.  He is a nice-sized adult, and calm and easy to handle.

Offered for sale as a registered ram lamb $500

This is a substantial looking and very masculine white ram lamb. He was born as a twin, but raised as a triplet, grafted on to another ewe on a very confusing birthing day! Kudos to him and his flexibility to roll with whatever ewe was nearby, regardless of who is mother really was. He has very strong growth and milk numbers, but modest prolificacy, so will throw daughters that steer away from frequent triplets.
