Offered for sale as a registered yearling ewe $725 with grafted lambs at side
A feminine, classic white ewe with good growth, milk and prolificacy. She lost her ram lamb when he was only a couple of days old, she was doing a great job mothering him, but he faded some days after birth, despite treatment, and necropsy didn’t reveal a cause (best guess: white muscle disease). I grafted this pair of red twins onto her (their mother had subclinical mastitis and very little milk, so she went to a pet home). This ewe readily accepted them and has done a great job putting weight on them, as they were behind on growth initially. For a yearling, raising big twins means she is a good milker. Her mother is from the now-retired Misty River line, and her paternal grandmother is from Birch Cove Farm in Missouri.
Photo taken June 2019. EBVs from 2019 lamb crop WWT data. This ewe can go with her adopted twins (pictured below) before the end of August (19010 is a to-be-castrated red roan ram lamb, and 19011 is a red registered ewelamb), or solo in September after they are weaned for $300.
