Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ram $350
Chocolate ram line-bred on KMC7045. Positive growth, modest prolificacy but really good survival and milk. This will be a good maternal sire for those wanting replacement ewes that are less likely to triplet, while still offering solid growth genetics. Out of a lot of my home-bred stock, but tracing back to Misty River Farm (Mary Bakko, Moses Lake, now retired), Aspen Mountain (Aileen Scott, Montana), and Just Plain Sheep (Jody Ouradnik, Eastern WA). This guy is a little shaggy, and his dual-grandsire sometimes retains some pants, so it’s possible he’ll be a B coat. He’s a twin out of a two-year-old, but don’t let his small size now fool you, he’s got good growth numbers and is out of some very framey stock, so I think he’ll grow into a big ram.
Photo taken Aug 2020. EBVs from 2020 lamb crop WWT data. This ram will be weaned and ready to go to a new home late August.
