Offered for sale as a purebred yearling Katahdin ewe $300
Beautiful buckskin ewe with a really nice hair coat. Good EBVs for growth and milk; but lower on prolificacy and survival, she’ll tend towards singles/twins and away from triplets. Sired by a framey, dark chocolate ram from Birch Cove Farm (David Coplen, Missouri). Dam traces to Birch Cove and also Thistle Grove Farm (John Bare DVM in Iowa). This girl had a pretty little lamb that she was mothering well, but some strange disturbance resulted in the guardian dogs getting a hold of it hours after birth. So this was no fault of this ewe’s.
Photo from May 2022. EBVs from 2022 lamb crop WWT data and includes the new Genomics run calculations, and this ewe is genotyped herself. This ewe is register-able, and ready to go to a new home today and be bred this fall.
