Offered for sale as a purebred Katahdin ewelamb $300, genotyped
Cute red pinto ewelamb. Dam traces back to Thistle Grove Farm in Iowa (John Bare, DVM). She was born late, so I don’t yet know who her sire is. When we finally get the late-summer genomics run back, I may have the answer to that, and she could then be registered. I’ll get accurate EBVs at that time as well.
Photo from February 2022. This ewe is genotyped herself. This ewelamb is weaned, and ready to go to a new home today! She was exposed to a ram in winter, but tested open in Feb, and was likely too small/young to breed this year. She will be ready to breed and lamb as a 2-year-old.
