Offered for sale as a registered pet Katahdin ewe $300
Big bodied chocolate ewe with white star, eight years old. She is a great ewe with very strong EBVs, but hitting the end of the line with her udder health, so priced accordingly. She can probably raise one lamb adequately, two may be a push, so she should be monitored in future years. Sire is from Thistle Grove Farm (John Bare, DVM, in Iowa). Dam traces back to KRK (Karen Kenagy, OR and Aspen Mountain (Aileen Scott, MT). Lambing record starting as a two year old: 2/1, 2/2, 2/2, 2/2, 3/2, 2/0. (2023: pulled one to orphan rear, then the other one perished from clostridium, which is not her fault.)
